Job summary

The Associate Director of Social Work and Social care role isa pivotal role within the portfolio of the Chief Nurse providing expert practice advice in addition to developing and leading the implementation of an innovative social care strategy across our Trust.
You must be a caring, compassionate and highly skilled professional willing to influence and embrace change whilst ensuring safe effective care is delivered in partnership with our patients and families to achieve best possible personalised outcomes.
You will join a vibrant group of professional leads within the quality and clinical governance directorate and be a key leader for all aspects of quality to drive continuous improvement with the aim of achieving excellence in all we do.

Main duties of the job
The Associate Director for Social Work and Social Care plays a key role in supporting the achievement of all Trust strategic aims, particularly with regard to the delivery of high-quality safe care, effective personalised outcomes for all our patients and their families and ensuring a positive experience for all.
The Associate Director of Social Work and Social Care leads an exciting portfolio within the Chief Nurse's directorate team. They will be expected to be a kind and compassionate ambassador for Social Work and Social Care leads and a positive role model. They will be a credible leader who will coordinate access to services and will be empowered to make decisions that improve outcomes and value for patients acting as a catalyst to transform our health care system and strive towards excellence in practice in all relevant fields across the Trust.
