Are you interested in working in a role where everyday is different, and able to adapt to support people with mental illness who may present with a variety of physical conditions from long term disability to MSK injuries or complaints and who may have struggled to access outpatient physiotherapy services? We are looking for a physiotherapist to support the patients on the adult wards at the Whiteleaf Centre in Aylesbury.
You will be working with a diverse, supportive multi-disciplinary team, and have support from the Professional Lead Physiotherapist for Mental Health, with responsibility to support physiotherapy assistants.
Main duties of the job
You will be providing physiotherapy input to the 4 adult wards at the Whiteleaf Centre in Aylesbury. Assessing and treating patients with complex long term neurological conditions, MSK conditions and mobility difficulties. Supporting physical activity on the wards along with the Physical Fitness Practitioner and Physiotherapy Technical Instructors.
You will be responsible for supervising junior staff and physiotherapy students, and for supporting the professional lead in service development and QI projects.
