Main duties of the job

We have an 8b post- with on call responsibility.

This role has been reviewed to ensure it aligns with the transformation required within the current pathway model and the expectation is that the post holder will work in a matrix way in order to maximise the benefit from the transformation planned.

Services within the remit of these posts include the current GP Out Of Hours Service, Minor Injury and First Aid Units, Urgent Community Response, Hospital at Home, and our Ambulatory Units. The expectation is that a 24/7 Clinical triage Model will be delivered alongside a 24/7 Visiting service as a result of these additions to our current leadership team. Therefore whole system working is essential alongside our partner organisations

These services include a wide range of nursing, allied health professional, medical, advanced clinical practice roles, and administration/ support services.

  • masters level or equivalent experience

Knowledge

Essential

  • In depth understanding of the NHS and/or public services and the likely changes over the next few years.
  • Evidence of experience which recognises the value and need to work collaboratively across the local health and social care economy.
  • Good level of knowledge of commissioning - the split between CCG and other commissioning roles
  • Good level of knowledge of Business Intelligence and how & when it should be used in everyday service delivery - how it should be developed as part of transformation.

Experience

Essential

  • Substantial experience managing health and social care staff. To include a range of knowledge base and experience of how to maximise people's skills.
  • Extensive experience of the development of good relationships across a range of key stakeholders.
  • Substantial experience of directly leading substantial change.
  • Demonstration of well-developed and effective leadership skills.
