We have a fantastic opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join our Allied Healthcare Professional team. If you are a newly qualified or experienced Occupational Therapist looking for a change in your career, then we would love to hear from you!
You will initially be based at City Community Hospital, and will manage a full clinical caseload and be involved all elements of complex and physical inpatient rehabilitation from initial assessments through to discharge and may include some follow up. You will also be part of providing interventions in personal care, kitchen assessments, access visits, home visits and therapy discharges.
Our patients are mainly older with a wide variety of health conditions admitted from their stay in an acute care setting. We are looking for individuals who are highly motivated, enthusiastic with excellent interpersonal skills and have a passion for wanting to make a difference in therapeutic therapy to help aid our patients' recovery.
Our nursing and allied healthcare inpatient teams work collaboratively as a multidisciplinary team to provide high quality patient care and you will be supported by the Senior Occupational Therapists and there will be opportunities for you to develop and learn further clinical skills.
Main duties of the job
To deliver safe and effective rehabilitative patient care and discharge, working in partnership with colleagues in the multidisciplinary team within the community and acute sectors, supporting the efficient use of resources across the whole system.
You must have the ability to prioritise, along with a positive attitude. At times, you may need to work or travel to another of our Community Hospital sites, therefore a flexible approach to working is essential.
