Are you an enthusiastic and motivated qualified Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Occupational Therapist(OT) looking to develop your career working within a specialist community team?
Our team focuses on supporting people with first episodes of psychosis during their recovery journey using evidenced based practice. We are based in the centre of Oxford and support patients county wide.
We are looking for a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Occupational Therapist (OT) - Band 5, to join our Oxfordshire Early Intervention Service Mental Health Team (OEIS) based in Oxford.
The post is full time (37.5hrs a week). We have easy parking facilities and our working hours are Monday - Friday, 9 am - 5 pm.
Main duties of the job
OEIS is a friendly and supportive team which prides itself with a high retention rate of staff. We have monthly shared lunches at our base which provides an opportunity to spend some quality time together.
The team is dedicated to providing excellent care and service through evidence-based interventions, research and quality improvement work.
We work closely with families and carers as well as other services including social services who may be involved in supporting our patients/clients. The team enjoy having a range of students learning and working with them and have gained consistent positive feedback.

The Trust provide many development opportunities for staff through our learning and development department and links with universities and our Quality Improvement team. Health Education England are also providing funding within the Trust, to support staff training needs.
The leadership team are committed to continuous development and improvement through supervision, training, reflective practice, peer review and staff wellbeing. The successful candidate should be enthusiastic, resourceful and caring, they should have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Preceptorship is available for newly qualified members of staff.
They will need to demonstrated a good awareness of mental health and knowledge of working with Adults with Mental Health problems. In return we can offer a full induction and a focus on developing their knowledge, skills and confidence further, in relation to all aspects of the post, as well as contributing to service improvements/development within the team.
This is an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to develop their career plan further. Applicants will need the ability to travel across the area to see patients within their homes, in a location where there are many villages and limited public transport to some of these areas.
