Job summary

Are you a Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, Teacher or Nurse looking for a change of direction, but still want to make a difference to people's lives?

Are you self-motivated, curious, flexible, can think outside the box? Then we are looking for you!

Are you able to advocate for young people and their families, being determined to push for change for young people, while holding a network together? Then we are still looking for you!

We are a relatively new, small team working with some of the most vulnerable young people (0-25yrs) with autism and / or learning difficulties to prevent unnecessary inpatient admissions or minimise inpatient stays.

We are a non-clinical team working with the network around a young person to ensure that interventions and support are delivered in a timely and appropriate manner.

We work with CAMHS, Adult Services, Social Care, SEND, the Integrated Care Board, in county and out of county. We sit in meetings (be prepared!) and liaise with a wide variety of stakeholders. But we also help to identify gaps in service for the ICB to affect change in the system.

We are a caring, collaborative team that are open to suggestions, always seeking better ways of working to affect change, are not shy of trying new things and believe in better provision for our young people. We aim to seek change in a non-confrontational and inclusive manner by trying to find imaginative and innovative solutions in what is a complex system.

Main duties of the job

Across Buckinghamshire there is limited provision of intensive support for CYP with a learning disability and/or autism between CAMHS Tier 4 inpatient and universal CAMHS Tier 3 provision.

To support this Buckinghamshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG)and CAMHS developed a business case to support CYP and families living in Buckinghamshire with keyworker support and pilot this over 36 months.

These exciting new roles will form part of a national Keyworker Pilot developing new ways of working in partnership with NHS England, Buckinghamshire Integrated care system and CAMHS. Importantly the pilot will be driven by the lived experience of young people and their families, therefore Buckinghamshire Parents Carer forums involvement are critical partners to shaping how we work in the future.

Therefore we are looking for a dynamic individuals to join our new team to ensure we are delivering outstanding services to the children and young people under Buckinghamshire CAMHS .
