Main duties of the job
To provide expert and strategic clinical leadership across the trust and wider ICS partners to improve the patient experience, clinical outcomes, and use of resources of medicines use in mental health, through:
- Expert clinical practice (at Mastery Level against the APF), including independent prescribing for identified caseload.
- Developing medicines guidelines which are integrated as part of patient pathways and consistent across ICS footprint, based on best evidence and practice and enable the best possible patient experience, patient outcomes, and use of collective resources.
- Leading, developing, and facilitating pharmacy practice and medicines optimisation research and Quality Improvement within mental health.

What we need from you!
- A registered Pharmacist with passion and drive for developing your clinical skills in a changeable environment
- A keen interest in new and upcoming technologies within Pharmacy and Healthcare
- Be self-motivated and able to work autonomously as well as showing initiative and promoting new ideas on how to improve the service
- Be compassionate, caring and creative with excellent communication skills
- All new starters have a 6 month probationary period. This, together with the induction process, aims to create a positive supportive working environment allowing new employees to learn key elements of their role over a reasonable timescale
- Candidates not currently employed by the Trust who attend an interview for non-qualified Band 1-5 posts are required to undertake numeracy and literacy assessments.
- Appointment to this post is subject to the trust receiving satisfactory references covering 3 years of employment or study. Please ask your referees to respond promptly to reference requests.
- Employees are expected to undertake mandatory and statutory training related to their role.
