We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Lead position in Cotswold House Oxford (CHO).

CHO is a Parliamentary Awards Winner 2022 for The Excellence in Mental Health Care Award , as part of the Hope Adult Eating Disorder Provider Collaborative and we would love you to join our award winning team.

Cotswold House Oxford is a specialist eating disorder service, offering 14 inpatients and 6 day treatment places. We provide a seamless service, from inpatient to outpatient.

Our service provides a stepped model of care, tailored to individual needs and we offer multi-disciplinary pre-admission assessments to collaboratively plan aims and goals of admission.

We offer a range of psychological and evidence-based groups and therapy to assist a patient's return to independent living, including work, training or study. Our programme includes groups that are CBT-ED based, which run over a 20-week period. You will be able to train and offer basic CBT-e to patients.

There are opportunities for career progression and further training to acquire Masters Degree programme via Oxford Brookes University.

Main duties of the job

Some of your duties will be:

  • To be responsible for the co-ordination and management of the clinical team in providing a safe, structured and therapeutic environment for service users.
  • In conjunction with the service manager, senior modern matron / modern matron and other clinical leads, the post holder is expected to contribute in the development of the eating disorder service provision across the Trust.
  • To participate in the Adult Inpatient Mental Health Service on call rota providing clinical support, advice and practical involvement as required ensuring safe provision of the clinical service.
  • Support the provision of 24-hour full and accountable managerial responsibility for the ward and deputise for the Modern Matron.
  • To take the lead in ensuring effective joint working with statutory and voluntary agencies to ensure responsive and appropriate service delivery to users and carers.
  • Provide professional links with educational agencies such as UWE and Oxford Brookes. To carry out a mentoring roll and training/teaching sessions when required.
