Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust Forensic Service is expanding, and developing our existing integrated model of mental health care for men in prisons across the Thames Valley region.

We are looking to recruit forward thinking, innovative, creative, and compassionate senior mental health nurses to offer a wide variety of interventions to the prison population at HMP Huntercombe in Nuffield, which is a Category C prison for foreign national men.
You will be part of a supportive multi-disciplinary team who deliver triage, assessment, group interventions, and caseload management in a person-centred way.
This post attracts a RSU Lead of £1,446 per annum on top of your annual salary.
Main duties of the job
To provide high quality, safe and effective mental health care and interventions to the service users within the prison establishment, including management of self harm and complex needs.
You will be responsible for managing a caseload, triage, assessment, and delivery of evidence based interventions within the framework of the multi-disciplinary team and care programme approach, and input into discharge planning.
To work as an integral member of the integrated mental health team, and to provide advice and support to primary health care based within the prison, and other prison staff.
You will work with internal and external partners, including partner healthcare providers, prison colleagues, social care providers, and probation services.
To support the team manager and matron with the expansion of the team.
