Job summary
We're looking for an enthusiastic Clinical Psychologist who is interested in joining our dynamic and friendly team (full or part time) at Marlborough House in Swindon.
Marlborough House is a 12-bedded inpatient unit for young people experiencing significant mental health difficulties.
Working with young people who have an eating disorder is also a central part of this role, as is working with a wide range of other mental health issues. This is an exciting time to join Marlborough House as we have a number of ongoing innovative service improvement projects, including developing a DBT informed care pathway for young people experiencing emotional dysregulation and creative ways in which we can use nature to facilitate recovery.
Main duties of the job
This role involves the provision of a high-quality Clinical Psychology service within the multi- disciplinary team.
We'll need you to provide consultation, supervision and training to the team and will assist with case formulation and treatment planning. They will be expected to provide individual therapeutic interventions to young people and to take an active role in the provision of therapeutic groups.

There is an active Clinical Psychology body across the area (BSW) who meet regularly, promoting professional development and providing opportunity for specialist supervision and shared learning. There are also plans to develop professional links across Oxford Health (into Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire) which will offer further opportunity for specialist CPD and networking
We have a strong commitment to Clinical Psychology training and the post holder will be involved in offering training placements for the new Bath University Doctorate Programme, as well as teaching and being able to access the Universitys CPD programme.
There is some flexibility possible in how hours are worked. Part time hours will also be considered as will the option of hours with other Oxford Health teams where the applicant has an interest in a split role.

- Doctoral level training in clinical psychology including specifically models of psychopathology and psychometrics, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology as accredited by the BPS. Current registration as a Clinical Psychologist with HCP
Experience

- Knowledge of the theory and practice of specialised psychological therapies in specific difficult to treat groups
- High-level knowledge of the theory and practice of at least two specialised psychological therapies
- Knowledge of legislation in relation to the client group and mental health.

- Ability to teach and train others, using a variety of complex multi-media materials suitable for presentations
- Skills in the use of complex methods of psychological assessment, intervention and management
