Job summary

We are looking for a well-motivated, conscientious, and friendly person who is willing to learn and play a key role in improving the lives of the service users we work with.

As an Administrative Assistant, you'll be in contact with our service users, relatives, other members of the public and professionals from partner organisations to ensure a smooth running of the Highfield Unit. You will have an important role in helping the service to run efficiently in a busy and sometimes demanding environment.

The Highfield Unit is based at the Warneford Hospital in Headington, Oxford. This is a modern purpose-built resource centre for adolescent people with mental illness, offering both community and outpatient facilities

Main duties of the job

This role will involve front line tasks, including day to day running of the reception area, dealing with telephone enquiries, booking rooms, meetings and greeting patient and visitors, data entry, typing (audio and copy), and using the in-house IT systems.

These tasks are key to supporting our clinical teams and so you'll be working in a busy, but rewarding role.
