We're looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Psychologist to join the NDC(Neurodevelopmental Conditions) Service within CAMHS.
We have a reputation for being creative, innovative, forward thinking, dynamic and research led. As a service we work closely with Oxford University to lead on research opportunities. With the support of NHS England the NDC service are currently developing a new diagnostic ASD Adolescent assessment tool. The project will continue for another year to complete phase 2, which will include data analysis of the tool and working towards publication.

Main duties of the job
In this role, you will support and enhance the care and treatment of children and families by supporting assessments and psychological interventions under the supervision of a qualified Clinical Psychologist; working independently according to a plan agreed with colleagues and within the overall framework of the team's policies and procedures.
We'll also ask you to get involved with clinically related administration, conduct of audits, collection of statistics/outcome measures, development of audit and/or research projects, teaching and project work.

Job responsibilities
- To assist in the assessment of children and young people and families with complex mental health needs.
- To assist in the formulation and delivery of care plans involving the psychological treatment and/or management of a clients problems, under the supervision of a qualified Clinical Psychologist.
- To assist in the coordination and running of therapeutic groups for young people and their families/carers under supervision.
- To work alongside other team members and ensure close liaison and communication within the team and with colleagues in other agencies.
- To attend and contribute to appropriate multi-disciplinary meetings, reflective practice sessions, team formulation sessions, referral meetings and multi-agency meetings where appropriate.
- To support young people taking the QB test.
- To undertake school observations when needed
- To assist with the delivery and scoring of psychometric tools
- This post will include 2 days contribution to the OVVAT project.
