The Learning Environment Lead role will enable you to work flexibly in a thriving Learning and Development team alongside supportive colleagues committed to providing excellent clinical education opportunities for students and staff.

Main duties of the job

Your primary role will be working strategically and collaboratively with universities, Trust staff, and the wider Learning and Development team, to develop and lead on the practice learning strategy for Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust. You will use communication, organisational and problem solving skills to facilitate positive learning experiences for students, across a range of services and clinical settings. You will be working mainly with adult and children's nursing students, although it is not vital to have direct experience of these clinical areas. Your enthusiasm and commitment to improving both the quality and quantity of placements will be key.

  • enhance your knowledge and understanding of clinical education
  • undertake a teaching qualification, if you don't have one
  • participate in projects designed to improve the quality and quantity of placements
  • participate in curriculum development
  • develop and deliver teaching/ training sessions at different educational levels.

Core working hours are Monday- Friday 9am-5pm, with flexible working patterns possible. A mix of home and office working is usual, with some travel to services across the Trust.
