Northampton General Hospital- Medical records Dept.
An opportunity has arisen for a motivated, focused, friendly, and efficient individual to join our Medical Records team. This is a busy role, and you will need to be organised and efficient to support the dept. and other colleagues. The post will support with prepping digital packs for outpatient clinics plus supporting the scanning of digital medical records for our paper light/paperless system. To join our team, you must be committed to the delivery of a first-class administrative service. As well as having strong communication and interpersonal skills. Previous experience working within the Health Records is desirable, though not essential.
Main duties of the job
To ensure the organising of the patient's digital records for patient activity, including sending the patients digital records to out-patient clinics.
Work as a team to prepare/maintain digital notes for the patient's care.
Following electronic processes in every area of the Medical Records Department, including the scanning area.
Work as a team to deal with loose filing/paperwork that comes into the Medical Records Department.
Role model the Groups values and behaviours and support others in doing so to deliver the Group Vision and Mission successfully

We are looking for individuals who are organised, flexible, enthusiastic, and well-motivated to take on the role of a clerk in the medical records department.
You will work closely with colleagues, contributing to all work carried out within the department. This will involve working within the Scanning area, Clinic prep working in the Medical Records Department with our digital solutions.
Become a skilled user of the EDMS and provide assistance to the wider Trust on all aspects of the digital Medical Record transformation. Ensure that the Hospital Patient Administration System (Camis) is maintained accurately and that all referrals to the hospital are processed in a timely and accurate manner.
Maintain the filing area in a tidy and workable condition, reporting and monitoring
Use manual and electric trollies to transport Medical Records around the Trust and back to the Medical Records department.
Use the Trusts electronic document management system (EDMS) to produce cover sheets and manifests relevant to the boxing up of files to be scanned by the Trusts scanning partner.
Ensure clinics to be scanned by the Trusts scanning partner are securely boxed up in a timely manner to meet strict service level agreements.
