We will provide you with:
- A structured training programme tailored to you covering all the necessary for ePortfolio competencies, secondments, QIPs, management opportunities & portfolio submission. This typically takes 3-5 years
- 6 monthly progress & goal-setting meetings with a nominated CESR trained Consultant
- Mentorship from our team who possess a wealth of training including USS, QIP, audit and GEM
- 8 hours P/W SPA time to develop you both clinically & professionally
- Monthly Consultant-led curriculum & exam focussed teaching.
- 30 days study leave over 3 years, a healthy study budget to cover Resus & USS courses

Main duties of the job
The program is formed by specific secondment-style modules of 3 months each (anaesthetics, Intensive care medicine, acute medicine, and paediatrics) alternated with 9 months of emergency medicine each year to acquire relevant competences needed to work on a consultant level in the UK. A dedicated study CESR day (8 hours) is assigned once a month. The trainees will also be provided with simulation teaching and opportunities to develop their teaching skills and work towards resuscitation courses instructor status.
Optional secondments in education, leadership, trauma, simulation will be considered to achieve particular parts of the curriculum, as well as 30 days of study leave over three years to achieve other requirements as resuscitation courses and USS training. Each candidate will be allocated an educational supervisor in emergency medicine and during secondments and will be supported by the CESR Consultant Group for individual needs related to their CESR portfolio (3 CESR consultants) who will allocate the successful candidates with six monthly ARCP style progression meetings to assure their progression against the program expectations.
The successful applicants, will be working at a level of senior decision making clinician in ED (ST4 +) according to their previous experience,

The CESR rotation program will be expected to require between 3 and 5 years for its completion (depending of individual needs) and will be tailored to support the candidates to achieve the necessary competences to apply for an Emergency Certification via the CESR route.
The contract will be reviewed annually and extended on a mutually agreed basis, based on successful completion of required competencies at annual review.
