Our volunteers are invaluable part of the hospital team. Working with us in a volunteering rolemeans you're playing a part in delivering the best possible care to our patients and theirfamilies, whether you're providing admin support in an office or working alongside our ward teams.
A volunteer will undertake duties as outlined below dependent on the voluntary position they apply for.
Main duties of the job
To support the Ward/Clinic/Medical Team undertaking a variety of admin tasks.
Greet and assist visitors in a polite and friendly manner as required.
Maintaining strict confidentiality of all details appertaining to volunteers and patients
To undertake filing and photocopying as required.
To accurately input data entry using a variety of Trust IT systems, if relevant to the role.
Responding to enquiries and requests via email.
Answering the telephone and dealing with face to face enquiries and making calls as requested by the Ward/Clinic Team.
Replenishing stock on the wards of surveys and information leaflets and ensure information racks are tidy and up to date.
Collecting family & friends' cards from wards.
To deal with incoming and outgoing post as appropriate.
