To work as a member of the Respiratory Physiology Team. Involvement in all aspects of diagnostic respiratory investigations.Provide basic lung function.Provide sleep diagnostic and CPAP set up and review.Provide training for medical students, and respiratory work placement students and support the senior physiologist in the running of the department.Lead Clinical Respiratory ,Physiologist, Respiratory PhysiologistRespiratory Consultants Service Manager MatronPerform administrative duties to ensure the smooth running of the department.Undertake all mandatory training and CPD
Main duties of the job

1. Provide basic lung function investigations independently. Produce technically satisfactory results in accordance with local health and safety policy.
2. To assist with delivering the sleep apnoea diagnostic service and CPAP service.
3. To analyse and present results to the Lead Clinical Respiratory Physiologist for reporting, highlighting any untoward results / incidents.
4. Provide the Patient Nebuliser Loan Service:
5. Liaise with a range of clinical and non-clinical staff to ensure an effective service is delivered.
6. Work with the Lung Function Laboratory administrator to ensure the administrative aspects of the service are covered at all times including:
7. Ensure a safe working environment is maintained at all times in line with current policies
8. Calibrate, maintain and clean equipment (adhering to infection control policy).
9. Be fully conversant with departmental computer systems after initial training.
