To be operationally responsible for the day to day Portering and Security Services within NGH NHS Trust. Delivering a responsive, cost-effective customer orientated service which meets the demands and expectations of the various stakeholders across the Trust. To focus on safe systems of work and excellent customer service
The post holder must have excellent leadership and management skills over a large and complex site with a team of approximately 100. You will be responsible for the provision of a wide range of Portering services including Patient Movement, Pharmacy, Laboratories, Medical Gases and Security as well as providing dedicated services to departments and clinics including Out-patients, X-ray, A&E & Emergency Departments, and Acute and in-patients wards
Main duties of the job
To be responsible for the provision of a high standard of end-to-end service for users in line with Trust's policies and departmental procedures.
To monitor the quality of Portering and Security Services through quality control, audits, and user satisfaction audits.
Lead by example and provide effective leadership, communication, motivation, and support for all portering and security staff.
To maintain good employee relationships and a positive working environment for staff.
Compile service specific financial and performance related reports associated with budgetary management and service delivery benchmarking, Quarterly data submissions, Departmental weekly/monthly performance summaries.
Communicate with patients, visitors and staff using a high standard of written, electronic, and verbal communication skills.
