Job summary
Applications from experienced, enthusiastic, and dynamic clinicians are invited to apply for a Paediatric & Neonatal Trust Grade Registrar level post at Kettering General Hospital.
To be considered for the post, you must have full GMC Registration and it is desirable to hold MRCPCH or equivalent. You should have appropriate training and experience in general paediatrics and neonatology.
The successful candidate will participate in the fully compliant Middle Grade Rota, rotating throughout the neonatal unit, general paediatric ward, Pediatric assessment unit and paediatric outpatient clinics. On-call cover includes, evenings, weekends and nights. The post holder will be well supported by Consultants in the department.
Main duties of the job
The post has clinical responsibilities covering services to children within the Acute Trust working as a team with Consultants, Registrars, SHOs and foundation year 1 Doctors, to provide elective and emergency children's acute service for children of North Northamptonshire.
Our neonatal Unit is a level 2 or 'Local' neonatal unit. It is part of the East Midlands Neonatal Operational Delivery Network (EMNODN) and is designated to provide intensive care for gestations twenty-seven weeks and above. Our cot numbers are 2 intensive care, 6 high dependency, and 8 special care cots.
