Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (KGH) is looking for a confident scrub nurse with experience in a fast-paced theatre environment within an acute hospital setting.
Join our dynamic theatre team offering a 24/7 elective and emergency service across a wide range of specialties, including ENT, Maxillofacial, Trauma & Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Urology, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Plastic Surgery, and Breast Surgery.

Main duties of the job
The post holder is expected to work closely with all disciplines to ensure the promotion of high standards for all patients requiring all aspects of peri operative care, following appropriate training encompassing a variety of specialities.
The role of the scrub nurse is to provide a holistic, high quality, patient focused, comprehensive, efficient and safe service for the patients cared for at Kettering General Hospital, acting with responsibility, accountability and integrity, reporting adverse events and poor practice to the person in charge. The scrub nurse would be expected to use resources and engage in change and service improvements effectively and responsibly.
The post holder will always act in accordance with the NMC code/HCPC and local standards of care and policies.
