Job summary

The post holder will participate in the delivery of high standards of care to patients and their families within Gynae Services. This will involve working in Gynae Outpatients in the Colposcopy service.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will participate in the clinic sessions within Gynae Outpatients, delivering skilled nursing care and act as a patient advocate. Participate in clinic sessions within the gynaecology Outpatients

Undertake Colposcopy clinics and be able to assess, plan, implement, evaluate and prioritise patient care without supervision.

Essential

  • Qualified Nurse Colposcopist
  • Educated to Registered Nurse
  • Proven ability to study at Degree level

Desirable

  • Proven ability to study at Master's level

Knowledge and Experience

Essential

  • Comprehensive experience in Women's Health
  • Extensive knowledge of female pelvic anatomy and gynaecological conditions
  • Previous experience of multidisciplinary team working
  • Experience in undertaking audit/ research
  • Knowledge of Hysteroscopy and Colposcopy services and the needs of the patient

Desirable

  • Previous experience of teaching
