Are you a band 5 or 6 looking to gain further experience in the acute setting? We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our friendly, innovative and dynamic Therapies team at Kettering General Hospital. We welcome applications from Physiotherapists who are looking for full-time, part-time hours and secondment opportunities. This is a 4 months fixed term post.
The post holder will be within a roaming therapy team providing expertise and assessment to the discharge hub, escalation areas and medically fit ward/areas with complex therapy needs impacting discharge.
Main duties of the job
The main duties for the post entails:

To provide advice and support to ward therapist on complex cases delaying discharges (identified via, discharge hub, bronze, stranded or therapy staff themselves).

Attendance on the full induction programme is a mandatory requirement prior to starting in the work area. - Evidence of Post graduate CPD, including attendance at recent relevant post graduate learning events

- Member of Chartered Society of Physiotherapy

- Up to date with professional practice and research
- Education of other MDT members.
- Understanding of legal responsibilities.
- Up to date with professional practice and research
- Understanding of clinical governance and its implication for services including quality and audit.
- Experience of deputising for Senior staff.
- Relevant experience working within the NHS environment.
- Ability to work across 7 day service
