Job summary
We're looking for a skilled and driven Data Development Manager to join us at University Hospitals of Northamptonshire (UHN). You will lead a team responsible for providing the central data platform which supports data analytics, national reporting and operational service delivery across UHN.
We have recently implemented a new Azure data warehouse across UHN and are in the process of decommissioning the legacy on-premise warehouses at each site in the coming months. We're also early adopters of the Federated Data Platform and contribute to the future direction of the data model that underpins it.
We are predominantly a remote team so fully support remote and flexible working. We do however have team meetings once a month which are hosted on site depending on their content and there may be other times where an on-site presence is required to support stakeholders, particularly in a leadership role.
Main duties of the job

The team are responsible for end-to-end data provision, ensuring that data is acquired in an efficient and complete manner before transforming it and provisioning back to users in a transparent and well documented fashion.
The post holder will manage the appropriate design, governance and monitoring of Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) processes, and will work with colleagues across Health Intelligence and beyond to ensure the data available supports high quality analytics and robust clinical and operational reporting.
The role comes with full responsibility for the management and professional development of the team, and it is expected that the post holder will be a technical subject matter expert in this field to provide appropriate coaching and mentorship where required.
As a key part of the Health Intelligence leadership team, the post holder will be expected to build and maintain strong working relationships across a number of disciplines and teams and to represent the whole of Health Intelligence when required.
