Job summary
A great opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Senior OD Consultant to join our OD team at UHN.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in undertaking strategic responsibilities as well as interventional work to support us at UHN to continue to develop and build our collaborative and in line with the overarching UHN priorities, contribute to the development of the UHN OD and inclusion strategy and lead the local implementation to secure improvements in performance, behaviour and engagement.
Main duties of the job
Responsible for supporting managers and leaders in implementing effective change management processes and support an ethos of continuous improvement.
Provide diagnostics to services and teams, including taking actions through to delivery and ensuring appropriate measurement of interventions, to enable leaders to create the environment and culture in which individual and team performance is enhanced and valued.
Contribute to the development and embedding of the UHN values and lead local delivery of work to embed organisational values and shape a culture where these are authentic and observed.

Essential
- Masters degree or equivalent demonstrable experience ( in an OD/Practitioner role)
- Specific OD practitioner accreditation e.g. MBTI, Insights, DISC, Hogan, Sova, 360 facilitation
- ILM Coaching accreditation/equivalent experience in Coaching at a senior level
- Evidence of CIPD development activity undertaken in areas relevant to the remit of this role
Desirable
- Occupational/Psychometric qualification
- Project Management experience

Essential
- Significant experience as a senior manager in a large complex organisation
- Specialist OD Consultancy experience: OD cycle implementation, effective stakeholder engagement, OD design and planning, delivery of interventions, evaluation of impact and value (of OD)
- Ability to think strategically, developing strategic frameworks and plans
- Evidence of successful development and implementation of change and transformation initiatives to achieve improved performance and outcomes
- Experience of working within the following portfolios: consultancy, culture and leadership, talent management, succession planning, employee engagement, inclusion, wellbeing, learning and development. Utilising project management approaches
- Experience of writing and presenting complex papers/reports at Divisional level or above
- Experience of supporting or leading change and service transformation to deliver improved outcomes
- Ability to analyse complex and sometimes contradictory information (workforce data, metrics, surveys) to inform effective action, anticipating and articulating the consequences of potential courses of action
- Ability to influence across a broad range of stakeholders including Trade Unions and within challenging environment politically astute
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate both direct reports and colleagues from across the organisation
- Ability to coach others (teams and individuals) to find their own solutions
- Innovative, with the ability to "think differently" and challenge current behaviours and mind sets
- Excellent facilitation skills with the ability to facilitate groups of all sizes to achieve agreed outcomes
