Are you aged 21 or over, with a full driving licence? Are you keen to help support our patients at Kettering General Hospital access our services?
Our patient buggy service helps our patients and visitors get around the hospital site dropping them to the nearest appropriate entrance, or at our bus stop or car parks. As a buggy volunteer you offer a vital role to helping our patients and visitors with mobility issues, making it easier to access hospital services.
We are looking for volunteers that have availability between Monday to Friday, mornings or afternoons. If you can spare 4 hours during this time, please apply today!
This is a wonderful opportunity to support Kettering General Hospitals patients and visitors, no experience is required, all training will be provided.
Main duties of the job
Driving the patient buggy around the Kettering General Hospital site.
Supporting patients to access the buggy, getting on and off (no manual handling).
Undertaking visual safety checks on the buggy prior to driving.
Driving to designated route, and ensuring rear site is relocked at the end of shifts.
Ensuring buggy is returned to the buggy base, and placed on charge at the end of each shift.
