Job summary
The aim of the Diabetes network is to improve the quality of care that children and young people with diabetes and their parents and carers receive throughout their journey from diagnosis to their transition to adult services by developing an integrated, coordinated and family centred approach to service delivery for all patients across the region. Priority areas will be identified annually through the Regional and National CYP Diabetes Networks and align with NHS England CYP Transformation priorities.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work with Network Members, the Network Manager, Regional Network Chairs, National CYP Diabetes Network and NHS England to deliver activities across the East and West Midlands. The role involves working with clinical and allied members of the multidisciplinary diabetes teams; wider trust staff; children, young people and their families; ICS and NHS stakeholders; third sector representatives and members of the regional and National CYP diabetes networks.

Job responsibilities
Key responsibilities include development and delivery of Network activities to achieve service improvement, supporting implementation of the NHS England Long Term Plan for children and young people with diabetes, and targeted input to individual teams. The post holder willoversee data collection for the National Paediatric Diabetes Audit, as well as the planning and monitoring of network work streams and projects; ensuring the integration of key learning from network projects and work streams.he post holder will manage the Network Data Quality Manager / Administrator and the nonpay budget of East Midlands Network including updating constituent organisations of invoicerequirements. They are responsible for overseeing the workplan of the Network Data Quality Manager / Administrator and will directly report to the Network Manager to ensure a collaborative approach between East and West Midlands Networks.
The post holder will need to build relationships across the region and may need to deputise for the Network Manager on set tasks depending on the need of the Networks.
The role is predominately home based, with travel for regional and National network business when required
