An exciting opportunity has arisen for a caring, compassionate and enthusiastic Band 3 Nursing Assistantto work within our Children's and Young peoples Inpatient service at Ferndene.
The service supports individuals from 13- 18 years, who have require assessment and treatment for a range of Mental health disorders, learning disabilities and/or, with recovery being at the heart of the service.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for caring, empathetic, enthusiastic and motivated individuals who have a passion to improve the lives of individuals who access the service. You must be flexible, adaptive and reliable with excellent communication skills and demonstrate a patient centred approach. An interest in working within Children's Inpatient care is desirable, the service can be challenging but rewarding environment is essential.
You will work shifts, rotating throughout a 24 hour period, as well as weekend and bank holiday working. You will work in a highly supported environment, and will be provided with training opportunities to further develop your knowledge and skills.
We will provide you with a comprehensive induction period and have access to ongoing clinical supervision and appraisal with development review that will provide you with support and the specialist skills required to meet the holistic needs of our patients.
You will be visible and accessible to patients, families and carers working together to ensure efficient, effective safe and caring services. You will provide compassionate care that is based on empathy, kindness, mutual respect and dignity.
