Job summary

The Psychiatric Liaison Team at Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital have vacancies for a band 3 support worker to assist with the day to day non patient facing clinical activity.

The role is predominantly Office based - limited direct face to face patient contact for duties that support our band 6 qualified nurses and medical staff.

Main duties of the job

The role includes, answering and respond to phone calls such as telephone referrals, manage clinical caseload by adding referrals, clinical appointments, where clinical advice is required work with the clinical lead and qualified staff on duty.

Manage phone calls whereby clinical advice is not required.

PLT work within National waiting times and require all referral information received to be added to CNTW clinical record keeping system via a referral proforma and correct waiting time identified from the referral source.

Manage the PLT clinic diary adding appointments for pending assessments and reviews for staff.

Add tasks to team clinic diary on behalf of B6 assessors.

Add appointments to individual RIO diaries as requested by clinical staff.

Add planned follow up appointments to planned clinic on RIO and alert service user of appointment date and time where required.

Contributing to Patient and carer feedback and Your Voice system by Supporting people accessing our service to have an opportunity to feedback via the Your voice system and inputting this feedback onto the relevant system.
