Job summary
The regional Adult Secure Care service includes a broad range of specialist services across hospital,community and criminal justice contexts including prisons, police and courts. This role carries responsibility for the development, governance and evaluation of services tocommissioned contract standards via the budgetary oversight, line management and professionalleadership of all psychological services staff. Bed-based services comprise 6 medium secure wards (Learning Disability, acute admission,rehabilitation, complex MH/PP, OPD and new habilitation service) and 2 low secure wards (LearningDisability and MH) with developing transition bungalows. These services are commissioned via theregional Provider Collaborative.OPD pathway lead: the role includes the designated CNTW strategic lead role for OPD services.CNTW has 8 OPD contracted services in across hospital, community and prisons and the role includessupport and management of CNTW Clinical Leads (including recruitment and selection), collaborativedevelopment and review of strategic/business plans.Prison Services: Management and professional leadership of psychological services staff in OPDservices at PIPE at HMP Holme House in Stockton on Tees and in MH in-reach team at HMPFrankland (this is sub-contracted to CNTW from TEWV via HCJ/NHSE commissioners).

Quarterly collection and submission of contract information relating to Clustering/pathways anddelivery of core training package on secure clustering tool to staff.NHS/CNTW representative member of Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle SafeguardingCommission/Board (monthly safeguarding board meetings including case management discussions,urgent case reviews as required.CNTW rep for PORSCH (Prison and Offender Research in Social Care and Health) Network, aresearch network focused on offender health and wellbeing in the North East of England and Yorkshire.Respond, as representative of Specialist Care Group and CNTW, to developing opportunities forservice development resulting from Government policy changes (eg forthcoming expansion of pilotmedical/psychological services interventions for those convicted of sexual offences).

Essential
- Post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical or forensic psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996), accredited by the British Psychological Society
- Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council
- Evidence of continuing professional development as recommended by the British Psychological Society and as required by the Health and Care Professions Council
- Significant incremental experience of working as a qualified Psychological practitioner, including significant experience within the designated specialty where the post is located.
- Formal training in supervision of Psychological Professions.
Desirable
- Post-doctoral training in one or more additional specialised areas of Psychological practice.
- Experience of professional management of qualified and prequalified psychological professions..
