Job summary
The role entails working with those who have co-morbidities, who are affected by substance and/or alcohol misuse alongside any mental health concerns.
The team consists of a well-established mix of professionals that work collaboratively to deliver individualised care. The role involves individualised clinical assessment, care planning, formulation, and collaborative working across the multi-agency team.
The applicant will be expected to demonstrate leadership within the team, providing supervision and supporting students therefore is essential they have mentorship qualification.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be expected to provide safe and effective interventions, harm reduction advice and deliver evidence-based psycho-social interventions to support service users to consider and achieve recovery.
The post holder will be involved in assessment and formulation of service users to identify need for, and support onward referrals into Community Treatment Teams or other community mental health services. There will also be a focus on developing the knowledge and skills within the service around neurodiversity, ensuring this is reflected within detailed formulations.
The post holder will be expected to hold a specialist complex caseload.
To provide specialist clinical advice to Service Users/Carers, staff, statutory agencies, 3rd sector partner agencies and the public.
In collaboration with the Service User and Carer where appropriate, develop Recovery and Wellbeing focused Care Plans, ensuring regular reviews to monitor progress and adapt Care Plan as necessary

Essential
- Professional Qualification and current Professional Registration as, a First Level Registered Nurse (RNMH, RMN, RNLD) or equivalent as an AHP, Social Worker or Clinical Psychologist
- Evidence of post-registration training in clinical/ psychological interventions / skills relevant to the post and in Older Adults pathways
- Proven track record of post registration clinical experience
- Mentor Training.
- Experience of trauma informed care, Safeguarding, MAPPA (Multi Agency Panel for the Protection of Vulnerable Adults) and Child Protection.
- Up-to-date knowledge/experience of relevant legislation.
Desirable
- Post Registration Qualifications in Psychological Interventions
- Experience of working within a community team.
- Non-Medical Prescribing
