Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 Assistant Psychologist to join the Community Acquired Brain Injury Service (CABIS). CABIS is a fast paced and vibrant team providing community based neuro-rehabilitation to adults (16 years and over) with acquired brain injuries (ABI) and their carers.
This would be an excellent opportunity for anyone who is keen to gain experience of working with neuropsychology as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team, to support those with acquired brain injuries living in the community. The post will also offer an opportunity to learn about the administration and interpretation of psychometric assessments, to support formulation and intervention.
The post holder will be supervised by Neuropsychology and supported to implement goal based neurorehabilitation within the community, and in doing so, the will gain insights into assessment and treatment from different therapeutic perspectives.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for individuals with enthusiasm and an interest in the area of neuro-rehabilitation and neuropsychology. Applicants must be able to work in a truly multidisciplinary team and be willing to learn from those with an ABI, fellow staff and other service providers in the community.
Applicants must:
- Have the drive to deliver effective patient-focused care,
- Have excellent self-awareness, interpersonal and communications skills,
- Have a strong commitment to patient's welfare, team development, teaching, training and research,
- Be able to meet the mobility and geographical requirements of the post.
