Job summary
Due to staff changes, an opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced individual to join North In-Patients CBU as Administration Officer (acute ward), based at St Georges Park Hospital, Morpeth.
The post holder will support a nominated Ward Manager to provide an effective and responsive admin service assisting with performance data such as off-duty rosters, training, holidays and sickness monitoring.
This is a part time permanent role, 18.75hrs per week working flexibly across Monday to Friday inclusive.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate proven experience in the following:
- Experience in a customer service/patient/service user focused environment
- Secretarial skills working within a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Typing/keyboard skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office/Word/Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to be self-directed, motivated and contribute positively within a team
- Ability to manage and maintain office systems
- Ability to deal with exposure to highly distressing or emotional circumstances
- Expected to participate in all relevant training courses appropriate to the role

- Collate data and information to produce reports
- Organise training events as directed
- Manage ward staff holidays/study leave/sickness, etc
- Maintain ward staff off-duty roster
- Communicate effectively with wide range of staff
