Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to join the reception team within the Medium Secure Unit (Stephenson Ward) which is part of the Specialist Children and Young People's in-patient services.
This role provides a comprehensive service to the Medium Secure Unit, which operates from 7:00am to 21:00pm, Monday to Sunday, 365 days per year
Proven experience of working in similar work environment is required.
Main duties of the job
Duties include:
- Reception and relational/environmental security duties supporting staff, patients and visitors
- Diary management including room and vehicle allocation
- Experienced in the use of Microsoft packages i.e Outlook and Word
- Knowledge of ordering stock
- Issuing and maintaining security equipment i.e. SAS alarms, body warn cameras, pagers, radios, keys and belts etc.
- Using a variety of systems that are part of the security processes which are in line with Local Operational Procedures (LOP) which inform staff of their role relating to relational and environmental security
- Monitoring entry and exit to the building i.e visitors, service users, carers, items being brought into the unit, working closely with a variety of other staff.
- Checking equipment is operating as required i.e., radios, body warm cameras, pagers, alarms etc.
- Coordinating the testing of radio frequency & function for the Site Response
- Completing security checklists with estates, facilities staff and external contractors i.e. equipment or tool count
- Working with Administration Manager to ensure qualities and standards are met within the Specialist CYPS medium secure unit in-patient service.
