Job summary
The Complex Emotional Needs team is delighted to be advertising a Specialist Practitioner post in North Cumbria.
We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic clinician with suitable leadership and experience, who is motivated to join the team. The team works with a caseload of hard to reach, multi agency service users who present with high risks mainly to self.
The successful candidate will provide clinical expertise to a range of complex presentations including those diagnosable with personality disorder and complex post traumatic stress disorder. The postholder will provide supervision and case management across a range of agencies and services.
The post holder will liaise and communicate effectively with partner agencies
Main duties of the job
The post holder will act as a role model to support/guide the team deliver high quality standards of care, be responsive to service demands and dynamic in supporting the team with complex and challenging situations.
The post holder will be required to demonstrate an excellent older adult mental health and safeguarding knowledge base.
Robust assessment and risk management skills are required to ensure safe and effective practice.
The post holder will demonstrate excellent communication skills, work well within the leadership team to prioritise daily clinical demands / needs of service, whilst supporting the clinical team.
The post holder will provide clinical advice and supervision (both individual and group supervision) and contribute to individuals appraisals.
The post holder will provide in house training to team and wider teams/services when needed and support and embed clinical standards within the team.
The post holder will lead/support and contributing to monitoring team's clinical performance via clinical audits and work in conjunction with Team Manager to support actions to improve the quality and performance of the service and outcomes for services users
The post holder will require excellent organisational, time management and delegation skills to work in an area of changing priorities.
