Early Intervention in Psychosis Team North Cumbria is delighted to advertise for a Band 7 Cognitive Behavioural Therapist for Psychosis (CBTp). We are a busy, dynamic, and friendly team offering high quality treatment for people with first episode psychosis.

This is an exciting time as we continue to develop the Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) Service in the North, East and West of Cumbria. The EIP Service is a 3-year service for individuals who experience psychosis. We would like a BABCP qualified therapist to join our dynamic team in the Cumbria Lake District working across a variety of venues across the county.
Role to work across North Cumbria.
This role would also suit newly qualified CBT therapists working towards accreditation - this is essential.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder is responsible for providing a qualified psychological therapy service to clients in a designated locality, providing evidence-based model-specific psychological assessment, formulation and therapy, and advice and consultation to colleagues, and to other non-professional carers, on psychological aspects of assessment, formulation, care and treatment. Thepost holder will work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team, ensuring that high quality individualised care is delivered which ensures safety and a commitment to promoting recovery and wellbeing and maximising independence.

Essential
- An Honours Degree in Psychology recognised for graduate membership of the British Psychological Society; Or an Honours degree level qualification in another mental health field, subject to specific suitability check; And able to meet Core Profession equivalence KSA requirements.
- Or RMN, OT, Arts Psychotherapy or Social Worker degree level qualification;
- And Accredited post-graduate qualifications in a minimum of one psychological therapy modality appropriate to the designated pathway, as detailed in the table below, together with ongoing registration / accredited membership of the appropriate professional body

- Experience of model specific psychological assessment and therapy with clients across a wide range of care settings

- This includes maintaining a high degree of professionalism in the face of highly emotive and distressing problems, verbal abuse and the possibility of physical abuse.
