The closing date is 09 December 2025

Job summary

2 roles available, 30 hours per week and 22.5 hours per week. The Children and Young People's Service provide an integrated service for children with persistent, moderate to severe mental health concerns, who have received a previous targeted intervention from other services and have shown little or no improvement.

We deliver a wide range of evidence based interventions through clearly defined care pathways. Development opportunities can be accessed via our comprehensive internal training programme. We have a robust supervision structure for staff, alongside peer support.

Our Mental Health pathway undertakes assessment and intervention to children and young people with complex mental health needs, including anxiety, low mood, self-harm and trauma. Clinicians will work within a collaboratively care planned approach, should be able to work autonomously and within a multi- disciplinary team. Knowledge and experience of working with Cared for Children would be advantageous.

We are keen to recruit clinicians with experience in working with children and young people, and who can work collaboratively with partner agencies.

The team operates across the hours of 8.00 to 8.00 Tuesday & Wednesday and 8.00 - 6.00 Monday, Thursday & Friday.

Main duties of the job

Carrying a complex caseload of young people requiring therapeutic interventions.

Provide training and clinical supervision/support to the wider team.

Attendance at multi agency meetings and risk management group.

Support with transition work and audits as appropriate. Linking in with parent, carers and other partners

About us

We aim to attract and retain a diverse, talented and committed workforce, who are caring and compassionate, and therefore able to meet the demands of the modern NHS now and in the future. In return we can offer a dynamic working environment in which to build a career.

NHS Employees identified as at risk of compulsory redundancy and those eligible for the NENC Re-Deployment careers hub will receive prior consideration.
