Job summary

We're seeking a Band 6 Specialist Physiotherapist with a passion for working in mental health to join the team at St Georges Park. This is a small team working across the inpatient services; older people's, adult acute and adult rehabilitation wards.

The successful candidates will be supported to develop their physiotherapy skills in order to provide physiotherapy assessment and rehabilitation for patients with complex mental health in an inpatient setting. The service has a robust supervision structure and the post holders will benefit from access to regular in service training to support development of their specialist skills.

For this post you will need to be HCPC registered with a degree/diploma in Physiotherapy and have relevant experience.

The successful candidate will have good interpersonal skills, work well within a team setting

Main duties of the job

To be responsible for the specialist assessment, management and physiotherapy service provision for service users who have a variety of complex physiotherapy needs, diverse presentations and a range of mental health, learning disabilities and / or Neurological conditions.

To manage and provide on-going specialist physiotherapy assessment and treatment using evidence based practice.

The post holder will work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team ensuring that high quality, individualised care is delivered and that this maximises independence and promotes recovery and wellbeing.

To facilitate the delivery of Physiotherapy Student Education within the clinical setting.

To provide compassionate care that is based on empathy, kindness, respect and dignity.

To provide clinical supervision and leadership to staff as delegated by the team lead
