We are looking for four compassionate, motivated, and resilient Band 3 Support Workers to join our dynamic Crisis Team. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a service that provides urgent mental health support to individuals in crisis, helping them feel safe, heard, and supported.

What you'll be doing:

  • Working in a universal crisis team.
  • Supporting individuals experiencing acute mental health difficulties in the community.
  • Working closely with a MDT team to deliver person-centred care.
  • Assisting with risk assessments, safety planning, and practical support.
  • Promoting recovery, independence, and hope during crisis situations.

What we're looking for:

  • A caring and empathetic approach with excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in mental health or a related care setting is desirable but not essential.
  • A flexible, team-focused attitude and willingness to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • A genuine passion for supporting people

Main duties of the job

To assist in the delivery of care to service users who have a variety of needs, diverse presentations and a range of mental health conditions, cognitive and/or learning disabilities under the direction of a registered practitioner. The overall responsibility for the service user remains, at all times with the registered practitioner.

To implement and evaluate care within a prescribed framework as a member of the care team ensuring that high quality, individualised care is delivered and that this promotes recovery and wellbeing and maximises independence.

To support the team in providing excellent and effective person centred care.

To provide compassionate care that is based on empathy, kindness, respect and dignity.

To actively engage with supervision and appraisal process as identified in Trust policy.
