Job summary
An exciting new opportunity has arisen to work as an Assistant Practitioner AHP Band 4 within Northumberland Head Injuries service (NHIS). NHIS provide community based neuro rehabilitation for people 16 years and over who live in the Northumberland area and have sustained a traumatic brain injury.
NHIS is a well established multi-disciplinary team (MDT) who are passionate about delivering evidence based neurological rehabilitation to achieve best outcomes. This exciting post will offer the successful candidate an opportunity to be part of the MDT, as well as opportunities to develop themselves within the area of neurological rehabilitation within community settings.
Main duties of the job
This is a full time post working under the direction of the qualified Therapists within the MDT. You will assist the Therapists to assess and deliver therapy and activity within the objectives of the treatment plan. In addition there will be opportunities to develop skills through the provision of group therapy sessions as well as individually-tailored therapy sessions to service users.
You will require excellent communication, time management and organisational skills and be able to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
You will be supported by experienced Therapists and will receive regular supervision and opportunities for training and professional development.
