Applications are invited for the CNTW Specialty doctor/Specialist Portfolio Pathway Fellowship programme.
This programme has been successful in supporting doctors achieve GMC Specialist Registration via Portfolio Pathway route in their chosen subspecialty.
This is a structured programme initially for 2 years, but can be extended for upto 3 years. There are 2 posts available 1 post being offered in General adult, Hadrian Ward, Carleton clinic, Carlisle and the other post offered in General adult, with the commencing post being in EIP Northumberland, Greenacres, Ashington.

Main duties of the job
The Portfolio Pathway fellows will be supervised by the substantive consultant psychiatrist (with specialist registration). The fellow will also be supported additionally by educational supervision provided by PP fellow tutors.
The job will involve 7.75 clinical PAs and 2.25 SPAs to work on their Portfolio Pathway programme portfolio and appraisal requirements
EIP
You will join a skilled and well-established adult community multi-disciplinary team which provides assessment, diagnosis and treatment for patients experiencing their first episode of psychosis (FEP). As a medical member in the service, you will typically provide outpatient reviews of new and current patients. You will also provide support and consultative advice to the clinicians in the service, supervision and support to junior doctors as well as visiting medical students on an ad-hoc basis.
Carleton Clinic
You will join an inpatient ward based on Carleton Clinic, Cumbria. Hadrian ward is an 18 bedded male assessment and treatment ward, located within Carleton Clinic, Carlisle.
The post holder will be part of a multi-disciplinary team that currently includes Acting Consultant Psychiatrist (AC), Nurse Consultant (AC/ RC), 1 WTE Trust Grade doctor, registered nurses, healthcare assistants, occupational therapists, psychologists, support workers and administration colleagues.
There are trust appointed doctors on neighbouring wards who will provide cross cover for leaves and portfolio preparation times.
