Exciting opportunity for a Team Manager position on a permanent basis within North Tyneside Community Treatment Team.The Team Manager is responsible and accountable for providing safe, effective care and an efficient service, to patients and their carers who live within the community.Key aspects of the role include monitoring the performance and quality of the service the team delivers. Alongside clinical leadership and effective day-to-day management of the team, commitment to promoting recovery and maximising independence and fulfilling wider management responsibilities as required by the organisation.We are seeking an individual who has experience and knowledge of supporting individuals in the community.
Main duties of the job
Provide day-to-day management of the team, hold excellent communication skills and ability to form positive working relationships with Systems PartnersSupport with recruitment, retention and induction of staffConducting clinical and managerial Supervision, Appraisals and oversight of individuals developmentManaging performance and absence/staff wellbeingEnsure statutory and mandatory training is completedSupport implementation and development of patient and carer experienceOversight of a support with Informal and Standard Complaints processEngagement within Interface MeetingsDealing with grievance and disciplinary casesMotivate, engage and develop the team within a multi-disciplinary team environmentLead and coordinate team communication, including holding regular team meetings, communicating and consulting on service changes (which may be contentious), and acting as a conduit of informationSupport Team following Serious Incidents and with Debriefs, Local and After Action Review Process and Serious Incident Panels

Education and Qualifications
Essential
- First Level Registered Nurse RNMH, RMN, RNLD or equivalent first level qualification e.g. Social Worker, OT, Clinical Psychologist, other.
- Relevant Post Graduate qualification or Training.
Knowledge and Experience
Essential
- Experience of coordinating and managing staff resources.
- Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team using a community based approach.
- Experience of providing community bases mental health services.
- Experience of leading teams and taking on a leadership role in project management.
- Commitment to Partnership working both multi-agency and multi-disciplinary.
- Coordinating and supporting staff in the day to day provision of clinical services.
- Experience of collaborative working across agencies and professional disciplines.
- Proven ability to manage a clinical caseload in a flexible manner as required.
- Experience of providing clinical/managerial supervision to clinical staff.
- Knowledge of health and safety requirements of the team.
