Are you a physiotherapist with an enthusiasm and commitment to working with people with acquired brain injury in the community.
We are currently looking for a flexible and innovative Physiotherapist to join our experienced community multi-disciplinary team.
CABIS provide goal orientated, neuro-rehabilitation for people experiencing ongoing symptoms following their brain injury in Gateshead, Sunderland and South Tyneside. This may be due to persisting concussion symptoms or more severe physical, cognitive, sensory, psychological, or behavioural changes. We are committed to providing high quality, compassionate care for our patients.
The post holder will provide high quality Physiotherapy assessment and intervention to clients who have complex clinical needs as a result of acquired brain injury including vestibular rehabilitation. They will demonstrate excellent communication skills with patients, carers and colleagues.
The successful candidate will work in a range of settings including the clients' own home, NHS outpatient centres and within the local community. They will also support clients who reside in residential and nursing care settings.
The successful candidate will have excellent opportunities for continuing professional development through an active in-service training program with other community teams and Walkergate Park centre for neurorehabilitation and neuropsychiatry and be supported by work-based learning, supervision and specialist training.
Main duties of the job
To provide specialist physiotherapy assessment and treatment using evidence-based practice for patients following an acquired brain injury.
To provide compassionate care that is based on empathy, kindness, respect and dignity.
To work as a member of the multidisciplinary team, promoting recovery and wellbeing for patients and their carers.
To facilitate the delivery of physiotherapy student education within the clinical setting. Support assistant staff development.
Contribute to maintaining a high standard of care for service users, supporting quality improvement and service development.
The successful candidate must be able to meet the mobility requirements of the post.
For this post you will need to be HCPC registered with a degree/diploma in Physiotherapy and have relevant experience in neuro rehabilitation.
