Job summary
An exciting opportunity has become available in North Cumbria Memory and Later Life Service for a Band 7, Clinical Lead with a focus on our collaborative working with Primary Care.
The Primary Care Clinical lead will support Memory and Later Life Service in providing effective support to Primary care and overseeing service developments in line with CNTW Transformation programme. The post will also focus on improving access to memory services, diagnosis of new or suspected dementia.
In this role you will work as part of a collective leadership team covering North Cumbria
Main duties of the job
This post offers a clinical leadership role focussing on improving close working with Primary care services and supporting transformation including standardising MLL referrals to a single point in line with the CBU's Initial Response service. This will also include developing primary care-based screening and support to take forward Cumbria Dementia Group's improvements in access to diagnosis

- Registered Mental Health Nurse/ Registered Learning Disability Nurse (as appropriate) or equivalent relevant professional qualification
- Mentorship Qualification
- Relevant Clinical Training and post graduate qualification
Desirable
- Formal clinical supervision qualification
- Therapy Qualification ie CBT
- Teaching Qualification
Knowledge and Experience
Essential
- Proven track record of providing professional leadership within clinical services
- MDT working
- Clinical Supervision and Application. Adherence to Health and safety policies
- Experience of working within a multi disciplinary team
- Experience of positive clinical risk taking and risk/safety planning
