Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an appropriately experienced and qualified senior clinician to join our team as advanced practitioner within Newcastle and Gateshead Children and Young People's Service.
This role will have close MDT working including with psychiatry and psychology - joining a supportive team, and good relationships with muti-agency working. Varied clinical work.
- Value development and training and opportunities for further training - further develop expertise/interests. CYPS training programme.
- Trust-wide CYPS links.
- Supervision to other staff and support with complexity and risk.
- Leadership - senior role and supervision to team, service development- support innovation, attend CYPS trust-wide development/transformation meetings.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and supporting on community transformation, building relationships with agencies and working closely with schools in the area.
There will be an expectation to work within a multiagency framework as well as upskilling and supporting the wider team.
Attending, chairing and leading on MDT meetings, child protection conferences, multi agency and risk management meetings both internally and with external partners.
Supporting the team and clinical manager with service improvement initiatives and ensuring high quality care is delivered.
Supervision.
Senior practitioner support to the wider team.
Ensuring high standards of care and treatment including upskilling staff clinically as well as ensuring adherence to documentation and record keeping standards.
Offering training and delivering presentations.
