Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Ward Manager on Edenwood Ward. Edenwood Ward is an inpatient assessment and treatment Ward based at Carleton Clinic in Carlisle. Edenwood works with adults who have a global learning disability. The unit provides assessment and treatment for people with learning disabilities with additional mental health problems and for those with learning disabilities and challenging or offending behaviours, whose needs cannot be safely met in the community.
Main duties of the job
You will work jointly with the Specialist Nurse offering effective leadership and day to day management of the team.
Day to day management of the team includes recruitment of staff, conducting appraisals, managing performance and supporting the health and well-being of staff.
The Clinical Manager will also be available to offer guidance and support on a daily basis
You should have a collaborative and enthusiastic style as well as a passion and commitment to networking with other services.
