Job summary
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Staff Nurse working within the CYPS Lotus ward Based at Acklam Road Hospital, Middlesbrough.
Lotus is a standalone 10 Bedded General Admission Unit, that provides assessment and treatment for young people aged between 13- 18 years. Lotus patient group includes those with mainstream mental health disorders.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work as a member of the Multi-disciplinary Team ensuring that high quality individualised care is delivered which ensures safety and a commitment to promoting care and treatment to young people.
As a staff nurse you will partake in the planning & delivery of clinical interventions, Reviews and Discharge Planning.
You will act as a named nurse developing co-produced, patient centred needs based care plans, through assessment, planning, implantation and evaluation.
You will deliver high quality care that is evidence based, effective and equitable.
You will be actively involved in the health and wellbeing of staff, service users, families and carers. You will be visible and accessible to both patients, families and carers, working together to ensure efficient, effective safe and caring services. You will contribute to all performances indicators, essential standards and quality outcomes.
You will contribute to the education and development of the workforce and students.
You will participate in staff supervisions and support personal development plans.
You will safely administer medications following trust polices and practice guidelines.
You will provide compassionate care that is based on empathy, kindness, respect and dignity.
You will have excellent learning and development opportunities and will be working with a supportive and dynamic team, who always strive to achieve the best possible outcomes for their patients
