Job summary
A vacancy has arisen for a Nursing Assistant to work within Beadnell Ward Mother and Baby Unit at St Georges Park, Morpeth.
Applicants for the post will be highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals. They will need to possess excellent communication skills and be able to contribute to the existing multi-disciplinary team.
The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to develop and increase their knowledge and skills in this highly unique and specialist service
The unit provides assessment, care and treatment to pregnant and postnatal woman suffering from serious and acute mental illness, supporting their recovery and the enablement of motherhood.
Support Workers are given the opportunity to develop and increase their knowledge of perinatal mental illness. This will be achieved through training and a robust supportive supervision system.
Applicants for the post will be individuals who wish to work in this specialist field of nursing. They will be required to work across a 24 hour shift pattern and demonstrate a flexible attitude towards providing a needs led service.
Be a good communicator with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
Be an active team player and have the ability to work on own initiative.

o To follow policies and procedures ensuring a safe, secure and healthy environment at all times.
o To create, maintain and review proper case records and plans as directed.
