An exciting opportunity has arisen for successful candidates to contribute to the CNTW Safeguarding and Public Protection (SAPP) Team as a Safeguarding & Public Protection Lead Practitioner.
The post is a Band 7, Full Time permanent position within the Safeguarding and Public Protection Team.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to be part of a team which will foster a culture which encourages innovation, continual performance improvement and a strong commitment to person centred care and patient safety.
Our team's aim is to ensure the delivery of a high quality service by the provision of professional advice, leadership, and supervision, ensuring relevant advice and information is available to a wide range of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency staff to safeguard those at risk.
Main duties of the job
You will require sound clinical skills in, risk assessment, risk management, formulation, and supervision. Knowledge and understanding of the "think family" agenda and a proven track record of effective joint working with other agencies.
The successful applicant will be based at St Nicholas Hospital but will be required to work across different sites within the Trust. The service operates Monday to Friday within office hours

Essential
- Relevant Professional Qualification in mental health or learning disability healthcare
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience with demonstrable evidence of extensive of post graduate training and development within specialist area of adult safeguarding to masters level or equivalent
- Evidence of continued professional development in adult protection
Knowledge and Experience
Essential
- Demonstrate significant experience of operating within clinical services across the Trust
- Advanced understanding and expert knowledge of national and local issues in relation to safeguarding adults
