Job summary
Applications are invited from qualified and experienced administration candidates to join our busy administration teams. We currently have vacancies for full time Band 2 Administration Assistantswith the following teams listed below:-
Newcastle West Community Treatment Team, Silverdale, Grainger Park Road, Newcastle upon Tyne NE4 8RR
Children and Young People's Service (CYPS), Benton House,136 Sandyford Road, Newcastle upon Tyne NE2 1QE
ADHD and Autism Team, Keegan Court,Grassbanks, Gateshead, NE108DX
These are very busy services and the successful post holders will be members of admin teams to support the multi-disciplinary clinical teams to provide a comprehensive, high quality administrative service at all times. The post holders must facilitate excellent customer service and be confident in dealing with service users face to face as well as on the telephone.
Main duties of the job
Candidates must have proven demonstrable experience in the last 12 months of the following:
- Experience in working in a customer / patient focused environment (face to face and telephone) -
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Database inputting
- Electronic filing systems
- Microsoft word/excel/powerpoint/office packages including email
- Fast, accurate typing/keyboard skills
- Typing letters
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to be self-directed, motivated and be able to contribute positively within a team
- Well organised and structured
- Ability to change tasks at short notice
- Reliable and punctual
- The post holder will be expected to demonstrate flexibility in the role
The post holder will be able to demonstrate the ability to deal with possible exposure to highly distressing or highly emotional circumstances and will be expected to participate on all relevant training courses appropriate to the role.
You should currently hold the required level of qualifications, as outlined in the Essential Criteria of the Personal Specification. If you do not meet this criteria you will not be shortlisted.
