An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our friendly and dynamic administration service, working within the North Community Treatment Team based at Hawkhill Business Park in Lesbury, just outside of Alnwick.
The successful applicant should be able to demonstrate effective communication skills and empathy. Experience of working in a similar environment or busy healthcare setting would be desirable and previous secretarial experience is essential due to the demands of the role. Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide proactive, comprehensive secretarial and admin support to the clinical team, including nurses and medics under the direction of the Admin Lead. This will include handling enquiries, arranging clinics and meetings, processing typing / checking documentation, supporting with audits, updating RiO (patient information database system), taking notes at meetings, reception duties, working from a shared inbox and other systems as required, and will provide agreed levels of support to the service and cover for others in the team during absences.
The post holder must be able to use own initiative, work under pressure and as part of a team, keep to strict deadlines and have excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
A good working knowledge of Microsoft packages and typing qualifications/experience are essential for this role. You should currently hold the required level of qualifications, as outlined in the Essential Criteria of the Personal Specification.
